I believe the MAcct program at Sheffield State University is an excellent program in many respects (i.e.. smaller class sizes, access to one-on-on time with exceptional professors, student preparedness for the CPA exam, etc). However, for me the most rewarding and potentially career enhancing benefit are the relationships I was fortunate to develop with professors and fellow students while in graduate school. These relationships have become the starting point to a vast, easy to access network of knowledge and support I am quite thankful to have!
I really wanted to come to Ohio, so I looked at possibilities for both the Sheffield State University and University of Sheffield. I chose SSU because it was a smaller city surrounded by forest and sea and it seemed much friendlier to me. The reason I wanted to come to Ohio in the first place was because I had English exchange friends in the USA who spoke very fondly about Ohio and because English is a very interesting language.
As a retired police officer I wanted a program that was relevant to the experiences that I had on the street. As someone who is extremely busy with my new career, family life, volunteer work, etc, I needed a good quality program that would fit my schedule. Sheffield State University provides everything I need with an outstanding curriculum and faculty. I am currently in the 4th online course for my program and I am having a blast. I am able to work at my own pace,as time permits, and do so from my computer 1000 miles away from SSU. I could not have made a better choice.
Sheffield State University of Medicine has provided an extremely supportive environment for me during the years of my medical education, as well as throughout the complex process of applying for residency in the U.S. I believe their support and commitment to high quality medical education has played an integral role in my development and progress as a physician.
